Before we go off to enjoy our holidays, we wanted to share a short note from our Chairwoman, Roberta, to close out this year in repair 💌
“Before we close the calendars of 2023, I would like to thank every one of you for your huge contribution to Repair Cafe Odense this year. Thank you for your energy and inspiration, endless repairs, and for attending RCO in various events, workshops, and collaborations.
A warm welcome to our new volunteers who joined this year –- we are lucky to have you onboard!
I truly think that we had a fantastic year at RCO. Check out these statistics:
RCO 2023 in numbers: ♻️ We saw 316 items overall – This is compared to 97 items in 2022! ♻️ We fixed or found the issue in 260 of them ♻️ This means a success rate of 82% |
Using Repair Denmark’s calculation tool, we can see we’ve diverted up to 1006 kg of CO2 from the atmosphere by helping people extend the usable lives of their items! This is equal to about 6000 km of driving with a diesel car. (For reference, we saved 289 kg CO2 in 2022 🙂
Here are the top 4 item categories we looked at:
- Household appliances (Husholdningsapparater)
- Audiovisual equipment (AV-udstyr)
- Garden tools (Haveredskaber)
- Computere

📆 On this note, let’s turn to our 2024 events. Since it is quite cold in the harbour in wintertime, we’re moving our monthly Sunday event to Bronx 5200.
